Riverstone is brought to you by Riverfront Developments Ltd., the same
developers that brought The Tides to
Courtenay. We are very excited to build on the success of The Tides and
bring many more affordable waterfront homes to the Comox Valley.
Riverfront Developments Ltd. is owned by three talented individuals who are
committed to providing superior value to purchasers and we stand behind our
track records of business and real estate success. The owners are:
Scott Butler- Project Manager
For the past three
and a half years, Scott has been focused exclusively on real estate
ventures. Scott was the creative force behind The Tides, a 45 unit condo
project adjacent to the Riverstone site that was completed in November 2007.
Scott was also the inspiration for the construction of a 91 room Holiday Inn
Express in Courtenay that is going up a few blocks from the Riverstone site.
Additionally, Scott is a co-founder of RedKey.ca,
a website designed to be the source for new real estate developments in the
Okanagan. Prior to getting involved in development, Scott spent the
previous 5+ years at WestJet, rising rapidly through various positions and
ending his career there as Director, Planning and Real Estate. He holds a
Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction from the University of Victoria and could
be found on jobsites of his father's construction company from the time he was
able to walk. Scott and his wonderful wife
had a baby boy
in January 2008.
Don Bell- Advisor
Don "retired" in July 2007 and aside from investing in various
real estate projects including the future Holiday Inn Express in Courtenay, he
is currently doing his best impression of a middle aged ski bum. He was a
co-founder and Executive Vice-President at WestJet and was instrumental in
creating and promoting the airline's corporate culture, which has been integral
to the airline’s success. He had been involved in many aspects of the company
over the previous 11 years and his focus on culture has assisted WestJet in
becoming a leader in the airline industry. Don joined WestJet after 18 years in
the computer industry as president and owner of a Calgary-based computer company
with offices throughout western Canada. He has been actively involved in
aviation since 1972 and is currently rated as a Captain on the Boeing 737. Don
looks forward to advising on Riverstone and spending some quality time tearing
down the hills at Mt. Washington.
Keith Bryant- Advisor
In addition to being an
owner of Riverfront Developments, Keith is also an owner of the future Holiday
Inn Express in Courtenay and his company will operate the hotel. Keith
is currently the President of Hospitality Inns Ltd., and has been an employee,
shareholder and director of the Calgary company since 1973. Keith is proud of
the performance record of the hotels and motels that have been built, owned,
managed and sold by Hospitality Inns Ltd., and currently retains ownership and
management of the Delta Calgary South. He has an Economics degree from the
University of Calgary, is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at the
School of Hotel Management at Cornell University, and is a Certified Hotel

throughout his career, including the Alberta Hotel and Lodging Association,

on Riverstone and taking some well timed trips to Courtenay in the middle of
the Calgary winter.
